Activity List
Explore the capital city of Dominica with its charming British and French architecture. If you need some souvenirs or want to try out some local food, be sure to stop in some of the local shops or check out the famous old market. As you part ways from the hustle and bustle of the capital, you can take in the green, wide-open space of the botanical gardens. Feel free to wander around and check out the various types of specimen trees. While you’re there, take a short hike up Morne Bruce to get a breathtaking view of Roseau city and beyond!
Take some time out of your day to relax in an infinity pool. Enjoy the beautiful view overlooking the Caribbean Sea, while sipping on a tropical beverage!
Spend a day with local indigenous Kalinago tribal members learning their traditional methods of agriculture, basket weaving, cassava bread baking, and canoe building. Take a dip in the refreshing nearby river as well as enjoying an amazing view of the Isulukati Waterfalls.
Grab your binoculars and stroll through a forest with the birding specialist of Dominica. Be on the lookout for the endemic Sisserou and Jaco parrots.
Stare out onto the serene ocean as you ride bareback on your horse through Prince Rupert Bay.
Check out this grey/black sand beach, grab a tropical beverage or a local beer, and take a dip into the water but don’t forget your water shoes as it’s a little rocky on your way out to swim!
Hike around a volcanic crater lake located high up in the mountains at 2800 ft. as you come across an array of plant species and untamed wildlife in this usually misty but always magical land of tranquillity.
Join Dominican canyoning professionals on this exciting adventure. These friendly, expert guides will help you climb and twist your way through the winding gorges of Dominica while jumping through waterfalls and splashing into rivers in an amazing rainforest setting.
Bask in the warm sulfur water delivered straight from the geothermal activity of the rainforest mountains while sipping on some locally made rum & beer.
Scramble over boulders and across the river for your up-close view of the Mother Falls at 75 ft. and Father Falls at 125 ft.
Now a UNESCO world heritage site, visit the restored buildings that used to serve as the garrison for colonial troops as they took Dominica from the Caribs. This area also served as a point for the slave revolt of 1802 which in turn led to the freeing of African slave soldiers in 1807, not just in Dominica but throughout the whole British Empire.
Set off on a tranquil rowboat ride up a quiet jungle-like river that will transport you to a hidden bush bar nestled in the middle of the rainforest.
Enjoy a quick hike through lush tropical rainforest that will be sure to set your inner child free as you jump into the invigorating waterfall pools.
Float down a tropical rainforest river on an inner tube while listening to the relaxing sounds of the streaming water and the song-like tunes of the tropical birds flying overhead.
Lounge around on a silver sand beach & cool off in the clear Caribbean water!
Take a short stroll through the rainforest of Morne Trois Piton National Park as you look forward to your refreshing dip in an awe-inspiring natural pool fed by a 40 ft. Waterfall.
A free day to yourself to explore your surroundings on your own terms and at your leisure. Sleep late, wake up early, hop on a local bus, eat all day, or schedule an activity that interests you that may not be on the itinerary—the choice is yours!
